It was another difficult call, almost as difficult as when he had called the Jedi to share his sympathies. It was another call he wasn't looking forward to making, and there was a good chance he already knew the answer to his question. It was better safe than sorry.
On a holocom unit at the Jedi temple, there was a figure of the Muun appearing in stately traditional garb. He was almost expecting it to go straight to holo-mail. He was even preparing the message. "This message is for the Grandmaster. This is Chancellor K'in calling about the matters of Corellia. I'd imagine that now you're quite busy yourselves at a time like this, but if you could give me a call back, I'd like to see what actions you've taken if any and if there is anything we should be doing about the matter in the Senate. I will be in my office most of the day, barring an emergency voting session of course. I'll be looking forward to your call. Thank you."

As Ti-dai returned to his meditation chambers, he noticed that he had a message from the Supreme Chancellor. He had purposefully left the Republic out of his decision to send an envoy to Corellia, but he supposed the Chancellor deserved to know what was happening to one of his planets. Ti-dai hit the send button on his holocom unit and sent a simple message, waiting for a reply.
Chancellor, I have further information about Corellia.

The com link came back to life just moments later. The figure of that same Muun appeared again. This time, there wasn't the placid face seen so frequently on the Holonet. Though restrained on levels considered steely to most of the public, the stress would have been immediately clear to a man like the one he had to speak to.
The Chancellor was dealing with a man he wasn't quite expecting. He arced a brow slightly. There was only one logical explanation at a time like this: Sidro Haanc must have vanished again. In any case, time and matters pressed on. Without missing a beat, K'in continued on. "Greetings Grandmaster, I appreciate you returning my message. As you said, you have information about Corellia. We are attempting to piece together that situation ourselves, but without people on the ground, all we have is the Holonet reports at the moment. I'm all ears for any information you have so that we can piece this together." Whatever tumult of emotion may have laid below the surface, his voice didn't reflect it. There was admirable control for a man not trained in the ways of the Force. At a time like this it was what was needed in the leader of the emerging galactic power.

Ti-dai allowed a wry smile to come to his face, softening the blow he was about to give the Chancellor. Everyone had hoped that the Sith had fallen in the war with the Brotherhood and that these latest incidents were mere imitators. But that was not what the seer had felt.
"I felt Corellia's "rebellion". The cause came from a foreign planet. I can give you no details more specific than there was a dark hole the likes of which I have not felt since the war against the Brotherhood of Darkness. I have sent five Consulars to Corellia, hopefully they can soothe the Corellians' tempers, or at least discover more about the true source of the disturbance."

Chancellor K'in didn't pretend to understand what the Jedi did or how they did it. He only appreciated the help that they gave. At a time like this they were necessary once more. He listened carefully and nodded slowly. There was the expression of a man listening and mulling over it all.
His voice, soft and thoughtful as always, asked, "So you have sent emissaries, effectively. Considering the circumstances, I think your presence could be better tolerated on Corellia. Are there any reccomendations you would make for us in the interim?"

Ti-dai closed his eyes, he knew what needed to be done, but it would sound strange to the Chancellor. However, Ti-dai was the Grand Master of the Jedi Order and so could not contact these people directly, perhaps Chancellor K'in could...
"Yes, there is something. I recommend you contact the leaders of the Sorcerers of Tund, the Zeison Sha of Yanibar, the Cerean Ner Yan, the Baran Do sages of the Kel Dor and the Matukai. I ask that you convince them to meet you and I for a conference. If the Sith have indeed returned in force it will require more than the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order to stop them this time."

The Chancellor listened quietly, the same poise of expression seen on his long, narrow face now as it had been seen during the electorial debates. It was something that had been constantly seen in the press during many a Senate session. This reamined, there was even a pensive, listening nod as heach of the different Force-using sects were listed out.
Up until the word "Sith" was mentioned that placid expression remained. Immediately afterword, the brows went up. Though surprised, his voice was the same, steady tone, "You suspect them to be re-formed and operating? What is your evidence, aside from your visions. As I understand it, they were nicely done away with in the last Hyperspace War."

Ti-dai smiled and shook his head. The Chancellor was gifted in politics, but he could not understand the Force, much less Cerean precognition. Ti-dai's smile fell as he began to explain.
"Your ideas of evidence cannot be applied to matters of the force. The Sith were forced into hiding, and we hoped we had broken their spirits so that they would no longer attempt to control the galaxy, but they were not destroyed. To destroy an order of wielders of the force, it would be necessary to destroy every recording ever made by any member. Three thousand years ago, the Sith were believed to be extinct until first Exar Kun and then Revan happened upon a single recording each. Both of these former Jedi followed the teachings they had found and recreated the orders of the Sith. And as for proof further than my visions, there is no need for any. I am a Cerean seer gifted with the ability to see the shatterpoints in time. My people are precognitive by nature, I can go further and follow events back to their cause in almost any case. The only time this gift fails me is when the source of the fracture is an extremely powerful user of the Dark Side, on the level of the Sith Lords as a minimum. In addition to this, I have seen the future; the Republic will once again see Sith Battleships, and soon, I fear."

As always, he never pretended to understand the ways of the Force having never had the ability to tap into it. Now it was a moment where he was rather neatly put in his place. He did call and so intead of growing angry, as some otheres would have, he swallowed a bit of his pride and nodded, listening carefully as the Jedi Grandmaster explained.
It was interesting to hear it told by a cerean, and it would have been all the more interesting if there wasn't a political crisis afoot. Everything had a time and a place, and right now, he needed to keep listening.
However, there was that nasty bit of news about the Sith. Secretive as they had been before, it still seemed a little hard to believe they could have bounced back so quickly after being toppled. Worse still, secretive as they were, it would have been impossible to wipe them out of existence as clearly as it would have been to wipe them out of history itself. There was a sigh that passed his lips as he realized, that whether or not they were right, whether or not they were extinct, they were still a part of the galaxy's history. A second later he nodded slowly. They had grown complacent and it could have cost them.
"Unfortunately, I am in a difficult position. Granted, you are a master of sesnes that many, most of us in the Senate do not possess. As such you would clearly have the advantage and with those impressive abilities, you would not require the same sort of evidence that the oversight committee and the judiciary would need. Regardless of the threat they pose, we are still held to a higher standard than the Sith and that is the rule of law. I'm sure you can understand then that I mean in no uncertain terms that if there is to be progress we will need to prove some connection between the Sith and this attack on Corellia."

Ti-dai smiled. He had expected this from the Chancellor, and his brethren in the Ner Yan would be certain to bring Kasha crystals if they came to talk. Likewise the Baran Do would bring their focuses. Together, they would be able to more exactly reach into the future than ever before. The Matukai warriors and Sorcerers of Tund should then be able to provoke the Sith into revealing at least a portion of their strength.
"Very well, Chancellor. Call the groups I gave you the names of to Coruscant. Let them know I believe the Republic is the greatest chance of balance in the galaxy and they will come. When a council of the light side is gathered and my consulars are on Corellia; you will have your evidence."

That drew a nod. He wasn't expecting there to be quite this reaction, nor quite this course of action. He just knew that when they were needed, the Jedi proved to be right more often than wrong.
Nodding his head, Chancellor K'in answered, "Alright, this sounds like a good place to begin. I appreciate the advice, and the honesty. Perhaps we will be able to talk again once the situation normalizes. Thank you."
There was a polite bow of the head before the figure of the Chancellor simply faded away.
