Leonidas had always respected the Jedi. Their wisdom has led him through darkness in the past. In his youth Leonidas had a dream of becoming a Jedi. But, he was not force sensitive. However, he never let himself go. Just because he couldn't be a Jedi didn't mean he couldn't become a hero still. And, standing in front of the Jedi Temple seemed to bring back his child hood. Shrugging off the small things he gathered his sense and started heading for the temple. This would be the second time he had ever entered the temple. It made him feel like he was in the right place. Here was one place he didn't need to check over his shoulder for an attacker. The halls of the temple were filled with Jedi of all rank and race. As well as others who find serenity throught the Jedi. The floor shone like a mirror as Leonidas could watch himself step on his own feet. Now all he needed to do was find someone to talk to. Preferably a master, or perhaps a council member. Either way, how would one go about allying with the Jedi? It's definately not walk in and pronounce 'I'm here' and then your in it. If anything, he at least wanted some information to know who is doing what and when. All his life it seemed like he was always chasing something. And, barely making it in time. And, it seemed that was the way it was going to go this time too. ((BTW Leonidas isn't really gonna ally up with the Jedi... he will end up in the Grey's ranks if things can go as planned... But, I don't know who is active in the Jedi. But, I want Leonidas in the story later on ))

Seeing the unknown approaching the Jedi Temple, a figure clad in brown robes and cloak looked up and asked, "Is there something I can help you with, sir?"

"Is there something I can help you with, sir?"
Leonidas looked at the Jedi silently taking in his features before replying, "Well, I was looking through the news lately and couldn't help but peice together the events taking place," his stance spoke of calm as he peiced together the information explaining how he was expecting more. Leonidas wasn't sure that this person was the one to talk to about such things. But, he let the man know everything. Including being approached by the Sith on the way here, "I am looking to help ensure the safety of galaxy by serving." His experience in leading as well as fighting with strategy was admirable. But, now that he had nothing to lead he was in a bit of a sticky situation. And, Leonidas was more than sure he didn't want to get caught in the crossfire of war without a fighting force.

Throwing the hood hack, the Jedi was revealed to be a youth and a padawan. There was the lock pulled to the back and a slender braid growing from just behind the right ear. Looking up with a pair of strong but placid gray eyes, the youth nodded, wearing the look of intense listening.
For a lad no older than perhaps seventeen, he spoke with a grace and patience that seemed unnatural for a youth his age. His voice was soft as he answered, "Yes, these are difficult times. I'm sure that being out in the galaxy you have heard what became of the Grandmaster, it's been all over the Holonet for weeks." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before continuing, "However, we still press on. We cannot afford to stop now while we have the galaxy to protect." Looking this stranger in the eyes, the youth added, "If it is service you wish to provide, you have come to the right place at the right time. Please, follow me."

"If it is service you wish to provide, you have come to the right place at the right time. Please, follow me."
Leonidas thought to himself as the two headed off for some unknown destination; Well, at least that part was easy enough... It was good to be back in these hallways. The feeling of being at peace was overwhelming as he followed the padawan throughout the temple. All the while hoping that at the end of the walk he would be staring destiny in the face.
For people like Leonidas everyday life wasn't enough to satisfy. He needed battle just as the battle needed him. Hopefully, he will finally meet what he called an honorable death. And, eternal peace.

((OOC: pay no attention to the custom title and pic, this is strictly for NPC Jedi until we get more Jedi.))
The youth marched on with purpose, but drifted for a lifetime of trained grace. The path was a fairly straight one, passing through to the Hall of Fountains where the youth stopped and bowed low before a second figure. "Master, another has arrived."
The second figure turned and nodded, "Very good." His voice was the voice of an older human man accented with the local Coruscanti clipped manner of speech. "Go, I'll meet up with you in a moment." The Jedi Master turned and bowed his head, "Welcome stranger, I trust you arrived safely?"

Welcome stranger, I trust you arrived safely?"
Leonidas made short work with the small talk, "Safe enough, apart from being approached by the Sith in the outter rim," he stood relaxed as he took in the Jedi master's appearance, definately human. "My reason for coming was exactly that, as well as the late news." Leonidas was of course speaking of the attack on the naval institute as well as the assasination of the Jedi Grandmaster. Those events were like small peices to a big puzzle and Leonidas didn't want to be in the middle of discovering that puzzle without being affiliated with some force. Because in his day Sith were no play toys. And, Leonidas didn't want to begin to underestimate any enemy.
Leonidas snapped back to the now as he put the petty thoughts to the back of his mind for the time being.

A brow went up at the very mention of Sith. "You were approached, really?" The curiosity was genuine, if tempered. "Its hard to believe that you'd walk away from that looking relatively unscathed." Looking to it as a possible source of information on thier enemy, the Jedi master wore a pensive expression and asked, "What exactly did they say or do?"

((Xero approached me outside of hoth but we never really finished anything... so I will just say that Leonidas believed he was a rogue sith))
"What exactly did they say or do?"
Leonidas put his head back to think about the scene, "Well, they didn't do much. To tell the truth, I think he was a rogue sith," Leonidas paused momentarily,"He threatned me with a Battle Cruiser. But, I got away unscathed and without being boarded, luckily."
It was unfortunate that Leonidas couldn't offer much information. But, the fact that he was approached so easily and promptly said something about the Sith. Something screwy was goin' down. And, Leonidas wanted to get his hand in the action.

Jandar Kzin nodded. "You were either extemely lucky or extremely well trained as a pilot. In either case, you're in good hands now." The Jedi Master paused and siad, "Now about this Sith you spoke of, what makes you think he's a rogue? It's never easy to tell thier true numbers and frankly, they give the Tuscan raiders a run for thier credits." There was a pause before there was a patient half-plea. In a reassuring tone, he added, "Anything you can tell us is valuable, even if you feel it isn't much. Start with the basics," he continued calmly, "what did this Sith look like and did you get a look at the ship?"
This was information that the Grandmaster would want to hear as certainly as ever. The Grandmaster seemed rather focused on thier old adversaries as of late and at any other time it could possibly have been a bit alarming. Sadly, they didn't need the Chancellor or the Republic military to tell them who had killed the last Grandmaster. Because of this, the order would be torn between hunting thier enemy and overseeing the elections for the Chancellor. Life for them was going to be rather difficult to say the least.

"Anything you can tell us is valuable, even if you feel it isn't much. Start with the basics,"
Leonidas shifted slightly before letting it all come out including his personal observations,"Well he came up from behind me. So, I didn't get a look at his ship. But, he couldn't be one of the important Sith simply because he approached me so freely." Leonidas stopped to reminisce about the few Sith encounters he had in the past, "Besides, most real Sith only let you know they are around if it works to their advantage," Leonidas knew much about things that most wouldn't know or even dream about. So, to him all these attacks and many other political actions are all small victories for someone. Leonidas was just saying what everyone else was thinking. But, he couldn't prove it without the resources. And, his experience with the Jedi said that they probably take the information and use it as a reason to mess things up.
Leonidas truly worried about the future that everyone may have to endure if everything was left up to the Jedi alone. This story would be one to end in a great magnitude. It was a feeling in his gut that told him that. Or, maybe it was the fact that it starts silent and ends with a big boom.

Slowly working it the way he understood a police investigation to work, Jandar nodded and listened actively. All the while, he was taking a growing list of mental notes. It was the basis on which he was begining to develop a mental picture. All the while, he was also passively scanning the man's thoughts and picking up brief images of his cockpit and the face was still a bit vague.
Calmly, he probed, "When this one contacted you, I presume he did so over a holocom. If he did, you would have gotten a good look at his face. Could you tell me anything about that?"
He'd have to take it slowly...one step at a time and in a logical fashion.

Leonidas thought back to the incident, "Actually he wore a red and white mask. So, I couldn't see his face," he paused for a moment and added, "He said he needed to discuss something of great importance, that's when I took off for here," Leonidas looked at the Jedi apologetically for having so little information. But, there wasn't really much to tell.

He nodded wearing a patient expression, masking the internal dissapointment. He was more dissappointed in himself for expecting one ot thier shadowy adversaires to be so blatantly obvious. Of course he'd wear a mask! Idiot!...However this behavior still does not fit the pattern.
He stared deeply into the floor for a brief moment before looking at Leonidas with a curious expression. He was trying to see if there was anything to this man before him that would have been of any real value to a Sith Lord. A quick scan with the eyes and the Force revealed that this man was indeed built like a warrior, but was not Force-sensitive enough to become a...what did they call thier Padawans...an apprentice. There was another question forming in his mind, but it was not meant for this man. Grandmaster, if you can hear me, you might want to hear this. I believe our problem with the Sith may have become more complicated than we originally thought.
Jandar had to make a decision, and he'd rather err on the side of caution rather than let, as far as he knew, an innocent man be left for the slaughter if he crossed paths with that Sith Lord again. Looking Leonidas in the eyes, he said calmly, "Well friend, you're welcome to stay the night at the very least. I'll see what I can do about settiong up sleeping arrangements."

"Well friend, you're welcome to stay the night at the very least. I'll see what I can do about settiong up sleeping arrangements."
Leonidas bowed deeply with respect and humilaty, "I thank you for your hospitality young master Jedi," Leonidas made gesture to follow the master before he realized that there were no introductions, "I apologize for earlier. But, we never introduced ourselves," he paused to offer his hand in a greeting manner, "My name is Leonidas, I use to live and train on Hoth before all of this,"
