On the surface of Coruscant, life zoomed by at its normal pace. No one was aware that they were actually under attack. Business went on as usual, save perhaps a bit of a lag in the networks. It was easily dismissed as some overload in the servers. There were certain times of the day when people logged onto the Holonet by the hundreds of thousands at once. In spite of it all, business went on as usual on the City Planet and galactic capitol. At a key time in the day and with all the time it took to flip a switch, the newtworks were infected with computer viruses.
Lights stayed on, banks continued to run, but the planet was under attack nonetheless. The viruses flowed through the networks and immediately began to self-replicate. Many were seemingly benign as they were in fact dormant. Others simply wormed thier way through and began to do thier subtle work. These worms sheered of a tiny fraction of a credit, something like the roundup error in conversion rates and the rounded one one thousandth of a credit. These worms roved the systems and worked on every transaction that was done on the infected machines. Passed on unwittingly, these viruses all laid the foundation for a future Sith attack, though for the moment many of them did nothing.
Somewhere out there, the Sith koffers began to grow. Somewhere out there, there was a Dark Ladylord watching and leaning back in a seat, satisfied with her work. The dormant viruses would have thier uses later, when she'd enter the command lines...when the worms were found out. The Jedi potentially had thier hands full with the leagal proceedings against Sidro Haanc. By the end of the standard business day on Coruscant, there was an untraceable account that had grown to reach the millions of credits as the worms spread through the galaxy. By the time the Jedi would find it out, the Sith would be filthy rich.
Either way it went, the experiment was already a success. The capitol of the Galactic Republic was already the first to come under attack without a blasterbolt fired or life lost.
