Backround: When Solaris was born in a busy city on Onderon, his mother died shortly after, leaving him only with his father, Solaris Averre LIIII. The Fifty-Fourth decendant of a Solaris Averre, a Grey Jedi During the Jedi Civil War.
Solaris lived with his father in the city untill he turned six. Then they moved to dathomir, and lived in the mountains. Solaris noticed changes in his father, he was becoming more violent, and would often punish Solaris for small wrongdoings, although there were many.
Solaris naturally had a dark mind, on Onderon, he played cruel pranks on other kids he didn't like, and constantly got into trouble with oter kids like him. Solaris formed a group of kids that would regularly cause trouble, and Solaris assumed the role of the leader. Even in childhood, he hungered for power. He was very ambitious for s six year old.
One day Solaris' father told him about his heritage, and how his family had been a long lasting line of well-trained Sith, and it was time for him to begin his training. His father taught him the ways of the Sith, and told him that the cruel tricks he played showed who was weak, and who had power, adn that the weak did not deserve life.
Solaris' Training was always intense, and physically draining, his father had him do long runs through the mountains, and put him through intense physical conditioning.
When Solaris turned eight, he began Force training, over the next several months he mastered the basics of the force, and constantly used these powers to his advantage in fights, and several other things. By the time Solaris was thirteen, he was a deadly assassin, and was more capable that anyone else his age. His Father used him to deal with weaker brings that he disliked, or people that stood in his way.
Over the next several years, Solaris' training continued, until it was his turn to fashon a lightsaber. his Father taught him the basics, and told him to let the force guide him through the procedures. His father gave him a red crystal, and Solaris went to work. After two hours, Solaris had completed the construction of a red-bladed saberstaff. He used it not as a tool, but as a weapon, as a threat, this gave him the greatest advantage in fighting, he had mastered the Darkside of the Force at the age of 19.
Now that Solaris had completed his lightsaber, he needed to select a form to use. Solaris' father gave him a wide variety of forms to select from, and gave him a breif explanation of each one. solaris thought about it for awhile, and finally decided on the Vaapad Juyo technique, which had been recently completed by Mace Windu, a Jedi Master.
Solaris' Father immediatly began training Solaris on how to use the technique, and its strengths and weaknesses, the vaapad stance with a saberstaff was a horse-stance with both knees bent, and one hand across the torse in a downward angle gripping the lightsaber in a backhand like style, the other hand was to be bent at a forty-five degree angle, and the forearm was to be paralell with the lightsaber. Solaris' father showed him how to use the form to his advantage, and told hiom that the attacks were powerfull and fast, but were often compared to the ungracefull attacks of an apprentice, only at a much higher level. Jumps were used to strengthen attacks, but kicks, and flips were rarely used.
Solaris' Father took the training very seriously, and had Solaris wake up early each morning, and practice untill the sun set. Within weeks, Solaris was pulling off intricate, complex maneuvers, and sometimes catching his father off guard. One evening, when Solaris finished his training of the Vaapad/Juyo, his father told him that he was ready to brgin his final test, the Force Multiply.
The Force Multiply was invented by Solaris Averre I, he used the technique against Sidro Haanc in an intense battle, which ultimatly resulted in his own capture, but over that years it had been modified, and taken to new extremes. If performed correctly, it allowed a beig to create real, flesh and bone multiples of his or her self for a short while.
Solaris' Father ran him through several intense drills to prepare him to learn this technique, so that he could one day pass it down to another individual, Worthy of learning it, if he was not to have a son, then he would find someone else to pass it on to.
Solaris worked for days on mastering this technique, it was a combination of a Force Rage, Force Push, and Force Pull, only at a much higher intensity. When Solaris mastered the basic concept, it was very draining, it felt like falling from the top of a cliff, and gave him a sick, and nervous feeling in you stomach, as if he was about to throw up, but at the same time overwhealmed you with a splitting, tearing sensation, as if you were being pulled apart. Solaris kept practicing day after day under the instruction of his father. He felt much anger towrards him, because he worked him so hard, and pushed him far beyond his limits, but he knew that it was the way of the Sith. He had to keep going, he needed to live up to the reputation that had been set centuries ago, by Solaris Averre I. It fueled him, it kept him going, even when he thought he would never succeed.
One day Solaris was walking in the mountains several miles away from his home, when he heard the roar of a drexyl, and intense blaster fire. There was a man firing concussion shells frantically at the drexyl, but it was no use. Solaris at first thought it would be enjoyable to see the man's death, but he felt something unusual in him, like there was something hidden within him. Solaris realized that this man had potential to be trained as a Sith. Solaris then leapt onto the Drexyl's head and stabbed his sword into it's head.
Later Solaris befriended this man, and found out that his name was Rando Yalaris. several weeks Later, Solaris revealed his identity as a Sith Knight, and began training Rando, who took on the name of Darth Malignus.
Rando came to live with Solaris and his father. His training lasted only a few months, and he gained tremendous power. he learned very quickly, and was on an equivelant level Solaris, when he was a knight, and Solaris a Lord.
Rando was unmatched in Saber combat, and force techniques, he even triumphed over Solaris' father, who was a seasoned, and experienced Sith Master.
Rando continued on his path to greatness, and whe Solaris was 30 he had left to go and explore the galaxy, and find where he truely belonged
One Day Solaris' father brought him up to the mountains, untill it got extremely cold, it had now been one month since he had begun practicing the Force Multiply, he was now to perform the technique at its full power, and unleash it upon his father, if the attack killed him, then his training would be complete, if not, then he would be marked forever as a failure, and would be made to suffer and die at the very own hands of his father. Solaris was extremly worried about this, he was now in his twenties, and had been raised, and cared for by his father for countless days, and now... now he was to kill this man? The one who taught him the ways of the Sith? The one who gave him a true life?
Solaris walked forward a few steps to face his father, and then started running, His father stood still, with no expression on his face. Solaris was getting closer to his father, he made eye contact with his father, the cold blue eyes stared straight back, Solaris looked away, as if he was ashamed of what he was doing. He reached out, and sent out multiple push and pull waves, and and felt the same falling, ripping sensation, untill his vision split, and he saw his father from eight different angles. he was still running, Solaris activated his lightsaber. He was nowa few yards away from his father. His father made turned to make eye contact with the real "him" and all eight Solaris' plunged their blades deep into his father's body. Eight gaping holes appeared when Solaris deactivated his blade, and came to one again. he rushed forward to aid his father, and held him up.
"Well d-done, your training i-is complete." Solaris Averre LIIII said, he then reached down to his belt, and unstrapped it, there was a Sword in a sheath attached to it. Solaris Averre LIII handed it to Solaris, and explained that it was Solaris Averre I sword, and he was to pass it down to whoever he taught the Force Multiply to.
Solaris' father's eyes then hazed over and, his eyes shut forever, never to open again.
Solaris stayed in exile in the mountains until he was 34, and constructed a temple for his Father, as a result, the area of the mountains became unusually cold, and it is often covored in snow and then he too departed to find a better life.
There were rumors of a Sith Temple on Dathomir, and Solaris departed to find it. Sure enough, Dathomir was home to a thriving Sith Temple, there he met the Dark Lord, and was given the position of 3rd seat Sith. Just under the arrogant Darth Xorn, who he despised.
For three years, the Order prospered, but then the Dark Lord died unexpectedly, and the entire order turned on eachother with everyone seeking to take the title Dark Lord. Solaris fought for control with Xorn, and slayed Xorn with his own weapon.
Knowing the Order would not last, Solaris left for Tattoine, for no apparent reason. h\He landed in Anchorhead, and went to the cantina, there he saw a man dressed in brown robes and a brown cloak, a jedi no mistake. The two engaged in combat, they both however did not know that their ancestors had fought as well.
The Jedi, Sidro Haanc, was from a Jedi line dating back to the Jedi Civil War. The battle awakened the souls of their first ancestors, and it was they who fought, not Solaris and Sidro.
Solaris was untimately captured after this, just like his great ancestor, and was taken to a Jedi Temple. There he trained under Sidro, but he did not know, why he didn't leave. Solaris felt obligated to stay, as if he was supposed to. As if it was fate's unusual way of changing things up. Solaris studied the Order of the Jedi, and completed his training within a year, due to the prowess he had made as a Sith. He was now 36. However, now he disliked both Sith and Jedi, they both had their fatal flaws, and errors. it was like neither were good, and they were both evil.
Solaris left the Jedi Order with an ambitious quest to start his own order, an order Of Grey Jedi.
A few days later, Solaris was contacted by Malignus, and was asked to meet in space by Rodia. The two argued angrily with eachother, and Solaris stormedd out of the ship, after throwing Malignus into a wall.
Malignus had been gone for a decade, in the Unknown Reigons of space, building up a massive army, powerful enough to take on the Republic. He had started a Sith Order, that was based on Yavin IV.
A year Later, Solaris had formed a formidable army, and order on Dantooine, known as The Grey Jedi Order, war seemed inevitable.
Malignus made the first move, and attacked Corellia, and conquering it with ease. Solaris knew it was time to act, Malignus had to be stopped. However to Solaris' surprise, the Republic army had moved to Corellia as well, and their leader was Sidro Haanc.
The war raged on for 5 years. Planets had been laid to waste, fleets decimated, and blood shed. Malignus was on the verge of conquering the galaxy, and was advancing on Solaris' Home base, with his far larger fleet. Solaris decided to Ally With Sidro, and the two forces joined on Dantooine, awating Malignus' Arriaval.
However, an ambitious Sith Lord, Darth Xero under Malignus rebelled, and attacked Malignus rear flank in battle. Solaris and Sidro both moved to surround Malignus, and all four armies clashed head on. The four Lords were all battling for their lives on the field. The four met in the center of the field, and they held a four-way duel, for control over the galaxy.
The fight worked it's way into a large building filled with power cores, gears, and energy beams. The first to fall was the rebel, Darth Xero, who was crushed between two doors, by Malignus.
Solaris, Sidro, and Malignus battled for hours, the tide of battle never changing, it was a perfect stalemate. Solaris then pushed Sidro off a catwalk, where he fell several stories, but caught on to another ledge far below Malignus and Solaris.
"You must be stopped Rando, at any cost, you will destroy all existence." Solaris shouted.
"Die Solaris, I'll send your soul straight to hell." Malignus threatened.
"I belong in Neither my friend." Solaris replied
Solaris and Malignus came into a saber lock. Sparks went flying in all directions. They were on a catwalk, standing between two energy beams, and a massive explosion went off, and the powers cores started exploding. The building began to collapse, and huge chunks of the ceiling and walls began falling. They hit the energy beams, and exploded sending hot shards of molten rock everywhere.
Solaris and Malignus were still in a lock, fighting for their very existence. Then suddenly Sidro appeared one catwalk below Malignus, Sidro tossed his lightsaber to Solaris. Malignus was unaware of his presense, until it was too late. Solaris ignited the saber and the green blade erupted from within the hilt. Cutting off both of Malignus' hands.
"Aaaaaah!-Malignus fell to his knees looking at the burned ends of his wrists- no, I cannot, no..." Malignus said. Malignus' mask flew to Solaris' hand.
"Rando, I will not kill you myself, but when the building collapses it will. Goodbye, my friend." Solaris said, and turned away.
Sample RP: The Jedi Academy was truely remarkable sight, it was much different than the dark halls of the Sith Academy on Korriban, these halls were filled with life, and happiness, and new padawans rushing to begin their training.
However Solaris felt a bit uncomfortable in this environment. It would take some getting used to, but this would be his home as he trained in the ways of the Jedi. He thought of what he would do after he finished his training. By the end of it would he come to serve the Jedi? Would he go back to the Sith? If he didn't go back to the Sith, Talak would kill him, if he did go back to the Sith, how could he face the Jedi in battle again, what if he met Sidro in battle? There was so much to decide, and his training would go by fast. he then decided that he would look for Sidro at the Training grounds. He departed, and started looking for the room where he would be trained.
As Solaris was on his way, he saw a group of padawans fighting, and it was constantly getting more violent. Young ones were piling on top of each other, and punching and kicking, it just kept getting worse. Solaris didn't know what to do, the dark side of him was telling him to encourage the fight, and entertain himself, but the lighter side told him that he knew that this was wrong, and he should stop it. Solaris shook his head wishing that it was an illustion, but the kids kept fighting. Now they were using force powers. Once youngling pushed a kid into another. The one pushed turned on the other one, and punched him in the nose.
The boy cried out in pain, and blood poured out of the wound. It was escalating beyond control. Solaris saw a group reach for their lightsabers, and rush forward to engage in combat. Solaris brought his head down, as if in agony. He didn't know what to do, dark or light? Good, or Evil? Solaris let out a scream amplified through the force, and everyone fell silent, and looked at him.
A twisted look was now upon Solaris face, He brought his hands up. Very slowly, all eyes were on him. He pointed his hands toward the group of kids, and blue lightningbolts flew out of his finger-tips, and the kids all screamed as the electricity channeled through their bodies. Solaris was laughing evilly with a smile on his face.
Solaris woke up with a horrible start that almost made him scream. His life was driving him to insanity.
____________________________________________________
Later Solaris turned back to the Darkside, after being reinfused with Dark Energies by his great ancestor Solaris Averre I. However these energies would not last long.
During a mission on Korriban Solaris met Rulic Corodious, in aparition form. Rulic had been a good friend of his, and Rulic now asked Solaris to bring him back to life using Sith Alchemy.
Solaris agreed, and used his father's Alchemy equipment. He traveled to the Sanctuary of Zhar where he found Rulic's skeletal corpse. He barely escaped with his life, because the souls of the damned did not wish for Rulic to leave the afterlife.
In order to bring Rulic back to life, Solaris had to transfer a large amount of Dark Energy to Rulic, so much that he realized that he might stray from the path of Darkness.
Solaris did indeed fall from the Dark path, and slid into a mild depression due to his failure to stay the course, of his line. He became a Grey Jedi, with no home. He then settled down at his childhood home on Onderon, and rebuilt his house, which had been destroyed by a former friend of his, Rando Yalaris.
However, Rulic had been plotting ever since he had come back to reality to claim Solaris' life. Rulic followed him to Onderon, where he bided his time waiting to strike.
One day Rulic followed Solaris up into the mountains, where he was standing before a large cave throwing off a massive dark aura.
It was then that Rulic appeared. a battle ensued between the two of them, and Rulic was ultimately the stronger man. Rulic had Solaris at the edge of a cliff, where he cast a void below him, to send him to hell, and his power would go to Rulic. However when Rulic threw Solaris into the void, he recieved no power, and he ended up sending Solaris back in time. To the Jedi Civil War Era...
