Icethorne's mind tugged at him as he held the image fervently in his mind when a voice spoke to him; Yes, good. Now, I want you to imagine that the courtyard has now become this place. With your mind, focus on using the Force alone to build the walls, the ceiling and the joints. Work slowly and build from the image until you can make it look just as real with the Force. Ice pushed with his mind applying the force to the area around him. Following Kayura's instruction he started to build the floor.
From a look on position an audience could see as the courtyard underneath Ice began to shift into blood-stained stone. Starting from Ice's feet to expand to the walls of the courtyard. In his mind Ice began to struggle a little bit. But, keeping to the task he imagined as the courtyard turn ever more into that room. The walls had something of a wave effect as Ice finished the room with the tomb, seals and locks included. It was as if Ice didn't even close his eyes. Kayura and Ice stood on opposite sides of the tomb as Ice tried to hold the image still. The walls formed to look like solid stone marred with blood. And, it seemed that Kayura and Ice were enclosed in a whole new place.
Ice couldn't help but include that feeling he got from the tomb. It was what his mind had played every time he saw this image. And, now he was trying to make it even more real. The power felt so real he almost wanted to dive into it. But, Ice stood still as he held the image in the background of his thoughts.
Opening his eyes the room shifted a little before Ice straightened it up. It was harder than it looked to hold an illusion while concentrating on other things. Unless, he believed it was real. Just like that the room looked as solid as the courtyard ever did.

Kayura looked at the technique and the environment. There was a satisfied nod. "You have learned the fundamentals of the Force Illusion. You must make the illusion a small and temporary reality in your mind. To make that illusion believable, you learned to replicate every last detail..." She watched as Nas'ra walked over, sniffing at one of the walls. In spite of how tame Kayura made her companion look, she was still a wild animal drawn to the sight and smell of blood. Without a second's hesitation, the creature began to lick at the walls with a massive pink tongue.
Immediately, the tomb and it's myriad detals rippled away into a large black fog and then fading away like the morning dew into the void from whence it came. Shaking her head slightly, Kaa'li finished, "...and a real testiment to your skill that you fooled my dog. I can see you're comfortable with making rooms. In time that will have its use, but you'll need to make illusions that move. Eventually, you will need to be able to appear as I did, to appear in two places at once."
As she spoke, she filed the image o the tomb away for a later time. Already, it was becoming clear that any master worth his salt would study his apprentice as well as train his apprentice. Perhaps she wasn't alone in her ability to deal with the dead...and that was a fascinating prospect. That would have to come in time, when she had more evidence. She was still under the dead, but watching eyes of the ghosts of lords and masters past. She could sense the ghost of her predecessor watching and waiting for a slip-up. She could even see the ghost of her late master looking back at her with a coldness in his eyes. Everything she did spoke of doing it by the numbers. She started with what her apprentice knew, then pushed him on to what he didn't know he knew...and built on from there. Without a doubt, this apprentice was in for the most rigorous and thorough training seen since time long past.
Knowing that it was a matter of leading a Bantha to water, she decided it was wise to work small. She had to think of some small creature, something that would not b either too difficult to picture, nor too large. It took a few seconds for her to think of something fairly small and fairly easy to imagine...albeit it slightly dnagerous if not absurd in a place like this. "To get you started, I want to see how well you can make an illusion of an Ewok."
She could almost see the shocked look of disbelief on his face as she said it. Wearing a knowing half-smile, she telepathically added, Yes, I know, I said an Ewok. The smile grew into a sly full smile. Well, now, get to it.

"To get you started, I want to see how well you can make an illusion of an Ewok."
Despite his disbelief at the words spoken he gathered his thoughts for another one. In his mind he pictured a small dwarf like being drapped in brown robings with eyes searing out of the hood. After maintaining the image of the creature he placed the creature in the courtyard standing between Kayura and himself. Having him materialize in reality was fascinating. He imagined it dancing. And, sure enough the little guy started dancing.
Icethorne opened his eyes allowing himself to maintain the illusion while being able to process the world of actions around him. It was a little strange to him to see the little dancing ewok standing in between his master and himself. But, if he wasn't careful he could lose the illusion. As if his thoughts affected the illusion; it started to shake on the edges. But, Ice caught it quick and reaffirmed the illusion before it could fade away.

Yes indeed training an apprentice was a suitable distraction from the issues of running the order. It was a good way to clear her mind and let the other trains of thought run thier courses. She even allowed herself to chucke slightly at the sight of the dancing phantom ewok. Mentally laughing, she knew this was a very good distraction indeed. By now, Nas'ra (never being far away) wasn't fooled. One sniff and a good stare revealed that the Ewok had no scent and wasn't real. The dog remained close to her master and didn't stray.
A hint of laughter still in her voice, she remarked, "Good form, good control and a brilliant recovery. You're hadling this rather well for someone who's never been trained at the illusion before." That reassuring smile was returning. "So you can handle something that's small, cute and fuzzy. This is a step in the right direction. However, I think that's definately enough along those lines for now. Would you feel capable of practicing it on your own?"

"So you can handle something that's small, cute and fuzzy. This is a step in the right direction. However, I think that's definately enough along those lines for now. Would you feel capable of practicing it on your own?"
To tell the truth this illusion thing was harder than Ice had made it look. It strained his mind to recreate the room that has caused so many nights of chaos and insanity, "I feel capable enough," he was fascinated by the ways of illusion. And, already he was thinking of ways to use the skill to his advantage. Starting from the most common idea of the illusion sneak. But, what Ice had put more thought to was the idea of making illusions even more real. Like perhaps a smell or maybe even a solid form. But, he never let his mind stay on any one topic for longer than a few seconds.
That day Ice had seen something in Kayura he had never seen before. Ice had observed as Kayura had let the tension slip away from her. Undoubtedly she was constantly busy with the life of being the Dark Lord. And, perhaps stressed out. Ice had heard the slight amusement in her voice. And, he wondered to himself what that felt like. Trying to bring back a memory of a happy time would only cause pain and despair. So, Ice remained silent staring at that moon-white face for further orders or just another word.

It was a decent stopping place indeed. Any minute now, she'd hear about her new target. Any second now, she'd be hearing from either the fleet command directly, or be paged by one of the Council members. It was nice to have that one moment to forget while it had lasted.
Nodding approvingly at her apprentice, it was time to show him another aspect of being a Sith...learning how power worked. Nodding again, she half-whispered, "Come, there's a second lesson to be learned. We won't need the Force for it. This is one to file away for later for when you become a lord."
She baegan to make her way back to the office when she was paged by another lord. My Lady, there is Fleet Command on the line. They wish to speek with you directly.
She walked on, her strides, though smooth and graceful, became a blend of march and drift. She swiftly cut through the halls like a speeding shadow and came to her office with Nas'ra trotting closely behind master and apprentice.
Once back at her office, she immediately took her seat and asnwered. Good, I'm at my desk. Patch it through. Eyes focused on the hologram that served as the screen, she said, "And now Apprentice, you're going to have a front-row seat on how to deal with those not Force-sensitive. I'm sure that your master before me told you the laws of stealth and silence were inviolable. Now you see the practical applications of it."
The figure of a man in a uniform devoid of markings appeared on the screen. Where others would have been angered by the lack of markings, she actually smiled, almost warmly. "Yes Admiral, what news?"
"Ultra One, we have acquired the target. I repeat, we have acquired the target. The Verpine have come on-line. They don't even know what hit them."
"Good work, I assume then that all protocols have been followed?"
"To the letter, Ma'am."
"Excellent. We can start brokering thier weapons contracts. As far as the Verpine need be concerned, it's business as usual. They are under no cirumstances to be bothered or hindered. So long as they believe we have spared them from a pirate attack, we have all the control we need. They will be far more concerned with making weapons and meeting thier existing contracts. Some of which, I believe, are with the Republic."
That drew a nod. "Suggestions Ma'am?"
"Yes, let those go as if the raid never happened. We don't need to tip off the Republic any more than the raid itself might have. We can simply say that there are new fees instituted, courtesy of R-and-D expenses. We'll just make it more expensive for them the next time around and explain it off as being under new management. That's effectively what we have become."
"Understood. What kind of insurance will we use to keep them loyal?"
"We won't need it so long as we simply maintain an illusion. We may have to stage more pirate raids in the future to sustain it. Put bluntly, the Verpine are too valuable to us to use 'standard' methods."
"Understood. Gamma fleet out."
With that, the holocom line was closed. Turning to her apprentice, she said, "It didn't look like much and it might have even been less than exciting, but the fact remains: there are practical applications to the laws of stealth and silence which are necessary. You just heard them in action. Did you notice that the Admiral's uniform was stripped of insignia?"
Before the lad could answer, there was another telepathic call. My Lady, I am aware that this is a bad time, but there are some visitors who have come seeking you out. They say they have come to deliver a message from an old friend. They will say no more.
Without another word she rose from her seat and remarked, "Sweet Ghosts of Korriban, I'm one popular sod today." She sighed, "Come, the lesson continues. We now deal with them face-to-face." Now it was time to be just another figure in a black cloak. No one outside the ranks of the Red Hand or the Sith Council were to know her face...not yet.
She rose and made her way to the space docks where she sensed the presence of the tale-tale gray signatures in the Force that spoke of normal sentients. For something this archaic, it had to be some sort of traditional gesture. It would reveal itself in time when she arrived.

Standing off and to the right of Kayura his mind was puzzling at how busy a day that his master had to deal with. It seemed they were constantly moving around. Actually, it was kinda like another tour of the stronghold.
In the docking station it Ice waited for another figure to approach and speak with Kayura about a topic that would have to be explained. But, either way he couldn't help but wonder who or what was wanting to get a message to us. Of course Ice could feel the tale-tale signature. But, it matched nothing in the Sith order... and, he couldn't remember encountering a signature like that in the Jedi Temple either.
